Lawrence Lessig:
Pure brilliance.
Pure passion.
Pure intellect.
Pure dreamer.

Between Lessig and Jeff Tweedy (of that o so wonderful band Wilco) whole new conceptions on the consumption of knowledge are being born. After all--Who does exactly own culture?

Check it out. I can't say that I agree with everything he proposes, but a lot of it is compelling in the areas he's focusing on. Plus he uses a Powerbook (TiBook at last check...and Keynote!)--that's got to count for something. The best part is that he's still actively teaching and he's apparently quite the amazing lecturer. And so Steve's rising dream of Stanford law takes on a new twist. I'm certainly not setting my heart on any of this, but if in 2 or 3 years time after dabbling in the workforce I do feel the tug back to law school, the chance to have this man as a professor would be a priceless one (so would going to Stanford for that matter--actually, that's be quite costly...).
