Stronger Dollar in the Future?

BBC NEWS | Business | Bush stands up for strong dollar

Quote: "Yet it is clear that the federal government will continue to borrow. Only last week, the president signed a new law, allowing the government to increase its borrowing by a further $800bn."

Personally, I'm tired of seeing the dollar fall. It might help America businesses, but it certainly doesn't help America's globally conscious consumers. Spending 6 months in London with the dollar at current rates is really going to hurt my wallet, for one. It'd be lovely to see things stabilize; however, judging by info including the above, this might just be Bush rhetoric without any true real world implications. Policy-talk, not policy-action.
