Brilliant Mister MacManus
ALBUM REVIEW: “Momofuku,” Elvis Costello and the Imposters - Holland, MI - The Holland Sentinel: "Lyrically, Elvis is as poignant and explosive as ever. Kind of like Oscar Wilde and Rimbaud versus Dolly Parton and Rosie O’Donnell in a heated debate on angst. The Imposters hold up their end of the bargain nicley. Even when addressing numbers that bear more than a passing influence from Elvis’s “country” phase. Listen and you will soon be convinced that not only do the “Angels wanna WEAR our red shoes” they want to kick them off and shuffle madly across the dance floor. Not only is Mr. MacManus’s aim true, but it’s heartfelt as well. Salubrious."
