A Slice of Literary Heaven

I've had my eye on this museum since tearing through Elizabeth Kostova's lovely bit of pop literature The Historian over winter break. The NY Times ran a lovely little tourist article on it, written with quite the literary flourish as excerpted below:

The Rosenbach Museum and Library in Philadelphia - New York Times: "Dodgson's letters are only a fraction of the juicy offerings from the past, literary and otherwise, available for viewing at the Rosenbach. I found that visiting the museum was a bit like attending a dinner party at the home of your eccentric great-uncles %u2014 if, that is, your great-uncles are wealthy bachelors who travel widely, dress well, drink enthusiastically, befriend famous people, collect rare books and antiques and are rumored to be in possession of Napoleon's penis. (Yes, really: Napoleon's penis.)"

It just sounds like a fabulous museum.... I WILL be there on June 16 (the 101st Bloomsday). Joseph Conrad, James Joyce, Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll), William Blake, Bram Stoker, and so many more--the most celebrated of literary celebrity, their relics there to be touched, examined, and inhaled. Beautiful and eccentric.
