Spring Cleaning

New layout, cleaned up sidebar, cleaned up layout so that everything seems to view properly in the browser again.... Leave a comment if you want added to the sidebar (or taken off it).

...And I sold out and activated AdSense. But only one ad--plus you now get a google search bar if you want it!

Skipping across the Atlantic soon, so posting will be even more slack than usual.

Abbreviated thoughts:
--Extremely happy for Crash and its Oscar victory, although I still need to sit down and watch it. It's been sitting in my room for a few months now.
--Continuing in the Hollywood vein, the Weinstein brothers have resurfaced with MGM. Business Week has a great review of the play by play, with a double potential resurgence by Hollywood's controversial kingmaker brothers and a studio putting a new shine on its fading glory.
--Back to business, the Deal Book is now a live blog-style website. I recommend all you bankers out there make it your start page.
--Also, peruse iTunes for a rising number of business oriented podcasts such as knowledge@wharton now available.
--Lastly, a quote from an interesting NYTimes article on strategy and market positioning in the shipping industry: "Failure in the battle for Peninsular & Oriental presents PSA and its competitors with an uncomfortable new reality, analysts say. With the world's privately owned ports now dominated by four big players — including Hutchison Port Holdings of Hong Kong and the A. P. Moller-Maersk Group of Denmark — further growth in the port terminal empires will largely involve buying individual ports from governments, expanding existing terminals or building them from scratch."
