The Adventures of Mr. Ravioli

Bumping into Mr. Ravioli

I adore Adam Gopnik, particularly Paris to the Moon. The New Yorker affiliated writer has a lilting sense of prose that is at once melodic and matter of fact--he has a keen and sharp eye for the nuances, beauties, and absurdities of everyday life. I stumbled upon an old column while sifting through the blog roll today, and I had to share it. "Bumping into Mr. Ravioli" is a meditation on children, imaginary friends, and the constant hustle, buzz, stress, and crowding of modern urban life, particularly life in New York. Nets out to about 2 pages--check it out.
