Mr. Brook's never fails to impress. Do I agree? Still muddling that one over. I'll be honest and say that I don't want to agree, with my socialist tendencies only on the upswing. But I'm learning that only a few countries can pull such a system off, and they often have "unfair" advantages like Norway's oil assets. Europe needs something less comfortable--or something that will spike motivation, somehow.
Fear and Rejection - New York Times: "The core fact is that the European model is foundering under the fact that billions of people are willing to work harder than the Europeans are. Europeans clearly love their way of life, but don't know how to sustain it."
