Onward towards 300M

AppleInsider | iPod adoption rate faster than Sony Walkman: "the most interesting segment of Milunovich's report deals with the iPod adoption rate as compared to the early adoption rate of Sony's Walkman. 'iPods are being adopted faster than Sony Walkmans were back in the early 1980s,' the report claims. and so I dutifully continue to be an Apple hack. Spending some time in an Apple Store back in NJ this weekend, I don't know how to feel anymore as a longtime Apple loyalist. This new energy feels unprecedented. Apple is hip and cool, no longer harangued from left and right. Hopefully, it's not just a fad that will vanish with the blink of an eye, and yet, I somehow fear it is so. We shall persist, no matter. As long as they stay ahead of the innovation curve, my loyalty remains the same. Time to let loose some marketing theorist to analyze Apple's core customer base.
