Delving Further into the Frontier

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Cassini set to pierce moon's haze:

"The Cassini spacecraft is set to reveal the closest views yet of Saturn's moon Titan, when it makes a close pass of the satellite on Tuesday," as per the BBC.

Titan, like Europa, is a gas giant satelite enigma. Whereas Europa is believed to harbor liquid water, Titan is unique as the only known moon with a significant atmosphere. Scientists have a strong suspicion that the frozen surface may harbor vast amounts of liquid methane beneath it.
